The Blackberry Pearl was the first Blackberry smartphone to use the trackball. The trackball became a favorite amongst Blackberry users and newer Blackberrys incorporate the feature. The Pearl is one of the more compact Blackberry phones available but does not have the full qwerty keyboard.
